In early 2003
I was working on some tracks for a new album. I backed
up what I had onto cheap CDs, which eventually lost
the data. So I'll have to start much of what I had
from scratch again. Here are two of the demos that
always tantalize me with how good they could have
been had we been able to fill them out with a few
more instruments, then do a good mix:
Bad
Days
A sort of "apocalyptic
visions of a hillbilly grandpa" sort of song.
You'll have to imagine a banjo, fiddle, string bass
and harmonica (and a prolonged outro).
Marco Klaue:
guitar, voice, bottle
Dan Steenburgh:
egg beater, meat hammer, tin cups, Schlagenfrappe,
kitchen sink
We
Don't Need a Miracle
This one could be interpreted
in different ways, and I'm hesitant to offer my own
personal interpretation.
Marco Klaue:
voices, piano loop,
various flutes
Desmond Wong:
more flutes
